The Soham Murders refers to the murders of Holly Marie Wells (10 year old) and Jessica Aimee Chapman (11 year old). Ian Kevin Huntley was a Soham caretaker who lured the girls to his house and then killed them. On 18 December 2003, Ian Kevin Huntley was questioned.

In 1878 it was reestablished and moved to Beechurst House. In 1958, Soham Village College was revived with a second modern-style facility located on 11 acres in the catchment area. The college was removed from the control of the local government in 1993.
