Norma Hunt is the widowed of Lamar Hunt who founded and owned the Kansas City Chiefs. Lamar Hunt passed away on 13 December 2006 from prostate cancer-related complications.

Lamar Hunt is one of the world’s most prominent businessmen. He was well-known for his promotion of American football, soccer, and tennis in the U.S.

In 1960, after NFL refused to give him a team of his own, Mr. Hunt formed the American Football League. Hunt was the founder of Major League Soccer and NASL.

Norma Hunt’s husband founded and owned several sports teams including the Chiefs.

The co-founder of World Championship Tennis also owned the Kansas City Wizards in MLS. When Mr. Hunt died, he also owned FC Dallas and Columbus Crew, two other MLS clubs.

The U.S. Open Cup now bears his honor in recognition of his pioneering contributions to the field.

Rosemary Carr was Lamar Hunt’s wife in his first marriage. Formerly, the two met in Dallas when they were teenagers. They also attended Southern Methodist University.

The Hunt-Carr family married in 1956, welcomed two children and then split up in 1962.

Norma met Lamar again a few years later. In 1964, the pair were married. Norma worked as a schoolteacher and Dallas Texans hostess at the time.
