Hilaree Nelson’s husband – his thoughts on Hilaree
It’s hard to believe that it was almost 10 years ago when I first heard Hilaree speak. I was instantly drawn to her passion for the mountains and her drive to explore them in new ways. I’m not sure what I expected when I met her husband, but I was pleasantly surprised. He is an interesting man with a lot of great stories, and he clearly shares Hilaree’s love of adventure.
I asked him what it was like being married to someone who is constantly pushing herself to the limit, and he just laughed. “It’s not always easy, but it’s never boring,” he said. “I know that she is always going to come home safe, because she is so careful and meticulous in her planning. And even when she does face challenges, she has the strength and determination to overcome them.”
He went on to say that Hilaree is an incredibly supportive wife, and that he knows she would be there for him no matter what. “She is my best friend and I know I can always count on her,” he said. “I am so proud of all that she has accomplished, and I can’t wait to see what she does next.”
